It has been a huge success, despite having to postpone the opening weekend due to vocal strain. She opened the next weekend and fans have been raving about the intimate performances.

But sadly, she has to postpone even more shows. Clarkson took to social media to announce the news.

“Unfortunately, I need to postpone the remainder of the August Studio Session dates in Las Vegas,” the statement read. “While I normally keep my personal life private, this past year, my children’s father has been ill and at this moment, I need to be fully present for them.”

She continued, “I am sincerely sorry to everyone who bought tickets to the shows and I so appreciate your grace, kindness and understanding.”

The shows this affects are August 8, 9, 15, and 16. She is slated to perform in a Texas Flood benefit show on August 17, but is off until November 7.

Kelly Previously Took Time Off From Her Talk Show

In March, Clarkson had to take a sudden break from hosting her daytime talk show, The Kelly Clarkson Show. And when we say sudden, we mean it. The first guest host, Simu Liu, revealed to the audience that he went from guest to host “about five minutes” before he walked on stage, simply adding, “Kelly isn’t able to make it today. We’re sending her our very best.”

Rumors began swirling around why she took the break, including her wanting to quit the show. But the most realistic one out there was that her ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock, was not doing well. At the time, Entertainment Tonight reported that a source close to the singer said that her absence was due to a sudden family emergency. She missed a total of 10 tapings.

Blackstock and Clarkson share two children together: River Rose (11) and Remington Alexander (8). The couple split in June 2020.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Kelly, her children, and Brandon.
