Kelly Clarkson Is Getting Into The Christmas Spirit
Kelly Clarkson is no stranger to Christmas music. She has released two Christmas albums, Wrapped In Red and When Christmas Comes Around…

Both albums included a mix of original songs she co-wrote along with several Christmas classics. Her original songs, including “Underneath The Tree” and “Santa, Can You Hear Me” have become incredibly popular among fans. Both songs appear on Cosmopolitan’s list of top 65 of the best Modern Christmas Songs.
A few of the classics she recorded for Wrapped In Red were “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas,” “Run Run Rudolph,” “Blue Christmas,” “Silent Night” and “White Christmas.”
She was recently appointed as the “Duchess of Christmas” by the self-dubbed “Prince of Christmas” Matt Rogers, who was a recent guest on her show.
Kelly Brought Back “White Christmas” For Kellyoke
Kelly kicks off every episode of her Emmy Award-winning talk show, The Kelly Clarkson Show, with a segment called “Kellyoke” where she covers popular songs. Her performances are so good that fans, and even celebrities, have called her covers the “Kelly Clarkson treatment,” meaning that if Clarkson covers the song, it’s now hers. After Clarkson sang Katy Perry’s “Wide Awake,” Perry commented on the video, “Ok dang I can never sing that again.”
For her December 11th show, Clarkson brought back the Christmas classic “White Christmas.” Wearing a velvet maroon dress, Kelly stood on the stage adorned with white Christmas trees and a wooden barn with the letters TKCS (The Kelly Clarkson Show) on it.

Her Kellyoke version took us right back to listening to Wrapped In Red and the magic she brought during this special time of year. Usually Kellyoke includes her entire band, but this stripped down version of the Irving Berlin classic featured only her musical director Jason Halbert on piano.

Her voice was stunning as she sang, “I’m dreaming of a White Christmas,” and in the dreamy Christmas setting, it transported us right to our favorite snowy Christmas memories.
Fans loved her version, with one commenting, “It’s pure vintage! Your dress reminds me of one I wore in the 60’s. Thank you for sharing the spotlight with Jason. Always love when you shine the spotlight on your band mates.”
