Kelly Clarkson Will Not Be Performing At Miranda Lambert & Parker McCollum’s Band Together Texas Benefit Concert
Miranda Lambert and Parker McCollum’s benefit concert, Band Together Texas, will be without Kelly Clarkson.
On July 18, Lambert and McCollum announced Band Together Texas, a benefit concert that will support victims of the recent floods in Texas.
“One of the things I love about both our artist community and our community in Texas is that we show up for one another, especially in times of such great need like folks in my home state are facing after the flood,” Lambert said is a press release.
Kelly Clarkson, Cody Johnson, Ryan Bingham, Wade Bowen, Ronnie Dunn, Dylan Gossett, Jack Ingram, Lyle Lovett, Lukas Nelson, Jon Randall, and the Randy Rogers Band were all announced as performers at the benefit, which is called Band Together Texas.

Band Together Texas will take place on August 17 at Moody Center in Austin, Texas. You can buy tickets here.
On August 11, Lambert and McCollum announced the benefit concert will be livestreamed and re-issued the lineup, which excluded Clarkson’s name.

While there was no statement regarding Clarkson dropping out of the event, we’re sure no one can blame her as she is supporting her kids following her ex-husband’s death.
Kelly Clarkson’s Ex-Husband Died On August 7
On Thursday (August 7), Starstruck Entertainment, his father’s company, released a statement announcing Brandon Blackstock’s death.
“It is with great sadness that we share the news that Brandon Blackstock has passed away. Brandon bravely battled cancer for more than three years. He passed away peacefully and was surrounded by family. We thank you for your thoughts and prayers and ask everyone to respect the family’s privacy during this very difficult time,” the statement read.
Blackstock was married to Kelly Clarkson from 2013 until their split in 2020, though their divorce wasn’t finalized until 2022.

The former couple share two children, daughter River (11), and son Remington (8). The day before Brandon’s death, Clarkson had announced that she would be postponing all her August Vegas residency dates to “be fully present” for her children as their father was battling an illness for a long time.
Our thoughts and prayers remain with River, Remy, Kelly, and the rest of the Blackstock family.
