Kelly Clarkson and Brett Eldredge join forces for a special Christmas duet
Talented vocalists Kelly Clarkson and Brett Eldredge are celebrating the holiday season with a festive performance. The pair teamed up to record a new song, “Sweet December.”
The romantic duet was included in Brett’s latest album, Merry Christmas (Welcome to the Family), which was released in September. Kelly is one of just two featured artists on the album. Pop artist Idarose lent her talents to a recording of “Who Will You Be Kissing On New Year’s Eve?”
“Sweet December” tells the story of an epic love that is only amplified around the holidays.
Kelly and Brett perform live on The Kelly Clarkson Show
Kelly Clarkson’s talent was first exposed to the world when she competed and won the inaugural season of American Idol in 2002. Now, she hosts the Emmy-award-winning daytime talk show The Kelly Clarkson Show.
To pay homage to the early days of her career, each episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show features a musical segment called “Kellyoke.”
Brett Eldredge took a break from his Glow tour to be the special music guest for the December 17th episode. Ahead of the show, Kelly admitted that he is “one of my favorite voices to sing with.” Brett shared the sentiment, saying that his and Kelly’s voices “mesh really well together.”
This is Kelly and Brett’s second Christmas collaboration. They released “Under The Mistletoe” in 2021 on Kelly’s album When Christmas Comes Around.
The pair dressed to the nines for this most recent appearance and delivered a beautiful performance to match.
