Kane & Katelyn Brown’s Sweet Love Story
Kane Brown first met his wife, Katelyn, in 2016 when a colleague brought her to one of his shows. While he is extremely successful in country music, not many knew Katelyn also was a singer herself.
She released two songs, titled “24KT” and “Perfect” shortly before they met. Katelyn also had the opportunity to sing the National Anthem at the Cavaliers vs. Magic game in 2016.
Kane and Katelyn got engaged in 2017 and married in 2018. Their wedding day was filmed for a music video for Kane’s song “Good As You.”
Katelyn ended up putting her own singing career on hold at the time. But she continued her education, and went on to graduate from Berklee College of Music in 2019 with a degree in music management.
For years the couple teased a possible duet between the two of them. Kane once said Katelyn was his “secret” he was “waiting to unleash” on a song. In 2022, fans were ecstatic when they made that rumor reality, and released their very first duet titled “Thank God.”
Kane and Katelyn also filmed an accompanying music video for “Thank God.” The romantic video shows the two of them enjoying some quality time together in a tropical paradise.
Kane & Katelyn Release Their Own Version Of “Beauty & The Beast”
After the release of “Thank God,” fans were eager for Kane and Katelyn Brown to drop another duet. Since that time, the couple has continued on to release two more duets, “Body Talk” and “Do Us Apart.”
Now, the couple has teamed up with Disney to release a country version of the iconic classic, “Beauty and the Beast.” The duet is part of Disney’s country EP Main Street Country featuring other artists like Maddie & Tae and BRELAND.
Kane opened up to PEOPLE about the experience, admitting it was a bit more difficult than expected.
“It took me hours to get it right,” Kane explained. “I was frustrated, to be honest. I’m not used to staying in the studio for hours and hours and hours to try and do harmonies and sing soft. I remember just leaving the studio and I went and sat on the front porch.”
Katelyn shared that she was ecstatic at the opportunity to sing a Disney classic, and watching Kane in a different element was “beautiful.”
“I was really excited to do this one,” Katelyn gushed. “‘Beauty and the Beast’ is the most iconic, most beautiful Disney song. I just knew we had to do this one. Plus, this was definitely in my realm and my style of singing.”
