Kane Brown made his television debut in “Fire Country” last month, and now the singer wants to see what other acting opportunities might be available to him.
Prior to his Stagecoach performance on Sunday (April 30), Kane Brown talked to ET about his plans to take a brief break from music following his current tour.
“We’re taking a couple of months off coming up,” Brown said. “I don’t know what I’m going to do. But you know, whatever’s there, I’m going to try and pursue it.”
One of the things he is going to pursue is acting.
“[I’m] just gonna, you know, take time into looking into acting,” he added. “We just bought a Florida home, so we’re gonna go down. The girls went to the beach for the first time, they loved it. So we’re gonna go down there, hang out with them and make some memories.”
According to “Fire Country” creator and star Max Thieriot, Kane Brown has some serious acting talent and could easily have a future in Hollywood.
“He just has a lot of raw, natural ability to be present and to listen, and really be in the moment,” Thieriot said of Brown. “I think if you can start there and do that, you can build off of it. Some people cannot start there, they just don’t have that thing. And I think he has that thing.”
But, Kane Brown fans need not worry that the country star will give up music to pursue acting. The “Heaven” singer has made it clear that music is his first love. Brown is currently riding high on the success of “Thank God,” his first collaboration with his wife, Katelyn.
“Thank God” topped the Billboard Country Airplay chart, making them the second married couple to jointly top the chart with a duet since Tim McGraw and Faith Hill’s “It’s Your Love” in 1997, according to Billboard. The couple recently won the 2023 CMT Video of the Year.
