Kane Brown And Other Top Musicians Perform Ahead Of The MLB All-Star Game
Kane Brown and the Zac Brown Band represented country music in the talented group of artists who performed at the 2025 MLB All-Star Game. The annual celebration includes a week of activities, including the Home Run Derby, MLB Draft, a celebrity softball game, and more.
This year, the best in Major League Baseball gathered in Atlanta, Georgia, for the occasion. The week of events culminated in the 95th MLB All-Star Game on Tuesday, July 15th at Truist Park. This marked the first time the venue has hosted the game since its opening in 2017.
Star players from every team were compiled into teams representing the National and American leagues. The game ended with the first-ever “swing-off” tiebreaker in MLB All-Star Game history. The National League took home the victory with a 4-3 winning score.
Prior to the action on the field, fans were treated to a stacked pre-game show featuring Kane Brown, Ludacris, Jermaine Dupri, and Lauren Spencer Smith. Zac Brown Band delivered the National Anthem in a performance that many viewers called “outstanding.”
Kane Brown Pays Homage To His Home State With “Georgia On My Mind”
Georgia-native Kane Brown showcased his vocals and his love for his home state with a suave rendition of “Georgia On My Mind” from the field at Truist Park.
The famous tune was written almost 100 years ago, in 1930, by Hoagy Carmichael and Stuart Gorrell. It was made famous by fellow Georgia-native Ray Charles, who went number one with the song in 1960.
Countless additional artists have covered “Georgia On My Mind” in the years since, including Ella Fitzgerald and Willie Nelson. Kane’s performance quickly caught viewers’ attention, with the video amassing more than one million views on Instagram alone in the first 24 hours. The MLB described his performance as “unmatched.”
The 31-year-old recorded and released the cover in 2024 and previously performed it at the 59th annual ACM Awards.
