Todd & Julie Chrisley Sentenced To Prison In 2022

In November 2022, Todd and Julie Chrisley, stars of the reality television show Chrisley Knows Best, were convicted and sentenced for various charges relating to federal tax evasion and bank fraud. They reported to prison in January 2023, serving what was originally a combined 19-year sentence, consequently appealing their case.

Todd was in Pensacola, Florida, and Julie was in Lexington, Kentucky. After their trial, a representative of the United States Attorneys’ Office said that the evidence was “overwhelming” and that the famous couple had “conspired to evade the IRS.”

In May of 2025, the two were released from prison after receiving a pardon from President Donald Trump.

Todd’s attorney, Alex Little, told media at the time that he had been released from where he was incarcerated in Pensacola, Florida, and was on his way home to Nashville. Little’s office added that Julie was released from prison in Lexington, Kentucky, and was also en route to Nashville.

Prior to their release, their daughter Savannah, 27, met with reporters outside of Federal Prison Camp in Pensacola where she was dressed in a pink Make America Great Again Hat and a matching Trump jacket. She told press that she was there to pick up her dad and that her brother, Grayson, was picking up their mom in Kentucky.

Julie Chrisley Set To Return To TV

Just seven months after her release from prison, Julie is now getting ready to film a new cooking show in February 2026.

Julie, 52, plans to focus on meal ideas for families and special occasions, though Todd, 56, said fans will also be curious about what she cooked while in prison.

“I’ve been doing deep dives into comments that people have put on social media, and so many people want you to do segments of what you cooked while you were at—summer camp,” Todd told Julie during the Wednesday (December 17) episode of their Chrisley Confessions podcast. “I think that you do that. I think that you do some of those things.”

The reality television star explained that she wants the show to be as real and authentic as possible, and give something viewers can tune in and relate to.

“I want it to be things that I actually cook, and I want it to be things that everybody else can cook,” Julie shared. “I don’t want it to be crazy ingredients that people have to go out here and search and find. I want the majority of it to be things that if you cook, that you would have in your pantry to cook.”
