During a recent Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen episode, Julianne Hough revealed which Dancing With the Stars winner she disagreed with.
Julianne Hough joined Dancing With the Stars in 2007 as a professional dancer. After multiple wins, she left the show in 2009 before returning as a judge in 2014. She stepped away again in 2017 but returned in 2023 as a co-host alongside actor and comedian Alfonso Ribeiro.
Needless to say, Hough has plenty of experience, so it’s likely easy for her to recall some of the worst dancers from the nearly 20 years the show has been on television.
While being interviewed on Andy Cohen’s talk show, Julianne Hough, who was on the show alongside country singer Mickey Guyton, was asked a fan-submitted question during a segment. The fan wanted to know which past winner of Dancing With the Stars Hough “strongly disagreed” with winning the competition.
At first, Hough was a bit hesitant to answer the question, but Mickey Guyton seemed to have an answer, mumbling a name under her breath.
“Oh! I think she has an answer for that,” Hough said. To which Guyton replied, “I just said Bobby Bones.”
Hough went on to say that she actually agreed with Guyton, explaining that she didn’t believe his dancing skills were what earned him the Mirrorball Trophy but rather that he was a favorite among the fans watching at home.
“It’s all about [the] fan base on that show. He was not the best dancer,” Hough said.

Bobby Bones and his partner Sharna Burgess were crowned champions of Season 27 of Dancing With the Stars in 2018. His win came as a surprise for many, due to his low scores from the judges throughout the season.
Bobby Bones responds to Julianne Hough’s Comments
A day after the interview aired, Bobby Bones posted a response to Hough and Guyton’s comments in a video on his Instagram.
In the clip, Bones shares his love for Hough, calling her “awesome” and stating there’s “no slander” from him about her.
He goes on to address the comments made and seems more annoyed with Guyton for mentioning his name. Nonetheless, Bones admits he wasn’t the show’s best dancer and takes pride in winning the competition despite his dancing skills, saying he views it as an achievement to have won over the fans’ votes at home.
