Jon Pardi Shares A Snippet Of New Song “She Drives Away”
The new track will appear on Jon Pardi’s upcoming album Honkeytonk Hollywood.
Recently, Jon Pardi made the announcement that he will be dropping a new album in April this year. As he and fans gear up for the release, Pardi has been teasing a few of the tracks they can expect to hear.
The latest song he previewed is an emotional father-daughter tune called “She Drives Away.” The song takes inspiration from his two-year-old daughter, Presley.
Pardi shared the song alongside a touching video filled with precious moments from the past two years with his daughter.
“Can’t believe Presley is 2!!! No one is lying when they say it goes by quick,” Pardi wrote in the videos caption. “Happy birthday baby girl. Here is a little teaser of one of my favorite songs off the new album.”
The video includes adorable scenes like Presley joining her country-singing dad during rehearsals and the first time she met her baby sister in the hospital.
Pardi and his wife, Summer, also have a second daughter, which they welcomed in July of last year.
The lyrics to “She Drives Away” are just as moving as you’d expect.
Pardi sings about the special moment Presley was born, even remembering the hospital room number she was in. He goes on to say that he is already dreading the day she grows up and isn’t his little girl anymore. The lyrics he shared of the song are as follows:
“Now I’ve been up all night / In room 203 / It’s like they took out my heart / And wrapped it in pink / Yeah, it all just kind of hit me / Put tears on my face / Ain’t even got her in the car seat / And I’m dreading the day / When she drives away”
The unreleased song is already tugging at the heartstrings of fans. Many of them rushed to the comments to share their love for the track.
“What a beautiful song from a Daddy to his Baby Girl!!” one person wrote.
“Omg tear jerker,” another said.
