Jessica Sanchez Won Season 20 Of America’s Got Talent On September 24
Less than three weeks after winning Season 20 of America’s Got Talent, Jessica Sanchez had another reason to celebrate—she gave birth to her baby girl!
When Sanchez auditioned for Season 20 of AGT, it was not her first time performing on the show’s stage. She previously auditioned for Season 1 of the competition in 2006, when she was only 10 years old.
That audition wasn’t televised, but viewers did get the chance to watch her sing Celine Dion’s “I Surrender” during the semi-finals.
Unfortunately, young Sanchez didn’t advance to the AGT finals in 2006. But that changed when she re-auditioned for the show 19 years later, in 2025.
“Throughout the years, I kind of fell out of love with music because I was really young and I was so swayed by what everybody wanted me to be, who they wanted me to be,” Sanchez told the judges during her audition. “And so maybe it took me 20 years, but I know exactly who I am. I know exactly what I want. I’m excited to be back.“
She also revealed that she had gotten married and was expecting her first child! Then, she amazed everyone with a cover of Benson Boone’s “Beautiful Things,” and Sofía Vergara ended up pressing the Golden Buzzer for her.
After continuing to shine during the competition, Sanchez was named the winner of Season 20 of AGT. It was a redemptive and validating moment for the mom-to-be.
Jessica Sanchez And Husband Rickie Gallardo Welcome Baby Girl
Just two weeks and five days after her AGT victory, Jessica Sanchez and her husband, Rickie Gallardo, welcomed their first baby.
Sanchez gave birth to a baby girl on October 13, her rep confirmed with PEOPLE. Sanchez also provided a statement to the outlet and revealed her daughter’s name.
“She’s here. On October 13, 2025, I gave birth to our beautiful baby girl, Eliana Mae Gallardo — 6 lbs., 12 oz. and 20.5 inches of pure love. The moment I held her, everything around me just stopped. It’s the kind of love you can’t explain — that fills every part of you all at once,” the AGT winner said.
She explained why they chose “Eliana” as their daughter’s name, saying:
“These first few days have been emotional, sleepless, beautiful…everything I dreamed of and more. We chose the name Eliana because it means ‘God has answered,’ and that’s exactly how she feels. Our answered prayer, our reminder of grace and purpose.“
Sanchez also shared some photos of little Eliana on Instagram, which you can see in the two slideshows below.
Congratulations to Sanchez and Gallardo on the birth of their baby girl! She’s absolutely precious!
