Jelly Roll Honors Toby Keith By Visiting OK Kids Korral

During a recent visit to Oklahoma City, Jelly Roll stopped by the Toby Keith Foundation’s OK Kids Korral to honor the late country music star.

Toby Keith started his foundation in 2006 to help those fighting cancer. In 2014, he opened the OK Kids Korral, which offers free housing for children and their families while they undergo treatment.

According to their official website, the facility also features amenities like a movie theater, game room, play areas, a gourmet kitchen, and more to make sure the families feel at home during their stay.

In February of this year, Toby Keith passed away at the age of 62 after a two-year battle with stomach cancer.

Since the passing of the country music icon, many from the country music community have found ways to honor Toby Keith and remember the legacy he built, both on stage as a performer and through his charitable work behind the scenes.

That’s exactly what Jelly Roll did before taking the stage in Oklahoma on Friday night (Nov. 15) for his Beautifully Broken tour.

In a video shared on social media, Jelly Roll is seen touring the facility to learn more about its purpose and the foundation’s work.

“I’m here to get inspired by him,” Jelly Rolls says referring to Keith.

During his visit, he also spent time with several children staying at the facility.

In one adorable moment in the video, a little girl gives the “Son of a Sinner” singer a drawing of a rainbow. Jelly Roll smiled and replied, “I love rainbows. Who told you?”

At the end of his time there, Jelly Roll talked about Toby Keith’s amazing work helping others. He said he hopes more people will visit and do the same to keep Keith’s legacy alive.

“I’m hoping, especially in Toby’s absence, the country music community will do this every time one of us plays here,” Jelly said. “Go up, do what he did, be as big as he was. That’s the kind of legacy you really want to leave in life.”
