Jelly Roll is turning heads not only in music but also with his impressive fitness journey.
At the beginning of 2024, the rising country star partnered with fitness guru Gary Brecka to help him lose 250 pounds in 12 to 14 months.
Then, in May, Jelly Roll completed his first 5K race at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California. Before the race, he revealed that he had lost over 70 pounds and planned to lose even more.

Riding the high of his successful 5K, the “I Am Not Okay” singer initially set his sights on an ambitious goal: completing a half marathon by year’s end.
However, in a recent interview with Taste of Country Nights, Jelly Roll admitted that he might have been a bit too optimistic. It turns out that the leap from 3.1 miles to 13.2 is no small feat, even for this determined singer.
“I may have overshot,” Jelly Roll shared during the interview. “I woke up and walked two miles this morning, and it was brutal. I was like, ‘I gotta put another 11 on that and jog?!'”
We feel you, Jelly!
But don’t count him out just yet. He’s now aiming for a more realistic target: a Thanksgiving half marathon next year.
“I was telling somebody, when I say next year I mean next, Turkey Day. Like a Thanksgiving half marathon,” Jelly confirmed.
When asked about a goal weight, Jelly Roll kept it simple: “Nah, I just want to feel better.”
Good for him!
