He clarified that the song had been released months ago and refuted any claims of it being pro-lynching or against the Black Lives Matter movement. In fact, he emphasized that the song aims to highlight the sense of community he experienced growing up, where people looked out for each other, regardless of their differences.

The music video’s production company, Tacklebox, backed up Jason’s explanation, confirming that the location chosen for the shoot was a popular filming spot used in several other projects. They also clarified that Jason wasn’t the one who picked the location.
