Jason Aldean’s Fans Express Concern After Singer Leaves Stage, Clearly Exhausted From The Heat
Jason Aldean was performing at the Xfinity Theater in Hartford, Connecticut on Saturday night (July 15). It was warm that day, with The Weather Channel reporting the highest temperature was 90 degrees Fahrenheit. It was also humid and there was no breeze.
The heat got to Aldean during his concert. Video shows him pausing in the middle of “Crazytown” to seemingly wipe sweat off of his face with his arm. Aldean managed to sing a few more lines before he rushed offstage and ended the show early.
The Xfinity Center posted a statement about the situation on social media. The venue said Aldean’s rep told them he suffered from heat stroke during the show.
Jason Updates Fans On His Condition After Suffering From Heat Stroke During Show in Connecticut
Worried fans expressed their concerns to the venue, Aldean, and his wife Brittany. After the outpouring of support, Aldean shared a video on social media the next day (July 16) to update everyone on his condition.
Aldean didn’t seem convinced that he experienced heat stroke, saying, “I don’t think it was quite that serious.” But he did describe the situation as being “intense.”
The singer said the way he felt was likely triggered by a combination of dehydration and heat exhaustion. He acknowledged how hot it was that night, saying:
“Anybody at the show knows how hot it was. I knew it was coming. I was trying to get through as much of the show as I could, and eventually knew it wasn’t going to happen and was trying to just get off stage and figure out what was going on.“
Aldean said he received an IV after leaving the stage on Saturday night. He received an additional IV on Sunday. After that, Aldean said he was “feeling a lot better.” He went on to perform Sunday night in Saratoga Springs, New York.
