American Idol premiered its 24th season on Monday, January 26th to great fanfare. The season already has some powerhouse vocalists with incredible stories to tell, and there have only been a few episodes.
So far, one of the singers to make headlines is Hannah Harper, a young mom of three boys who auditioned with an original song called “String Cheese.”
Another highlight of the season so far has been Khloe Grace, who performed an original song for a 13-year-old girl who passed away.

And while the season is underway, it will look a little different than seasons past. For one, Hollywood Week will now be held in Nashville! They are calling it Hollywood Week: Music City Takeover.
22-Year-Old Hopeful Auditions With Carrie Underwood’s Song
One of the bravest things to do during a singing competition show is to sing a song that was originally recorded by one of the judges.
Livy, a 22-year-old waitress from Sinnston, West Virginia, stepped in front of judges Lionel Richie, Luke Bryan, and Carrie Underwood. She brought a little bit of home with her, serving the judges peanuts, which she does for a living. She also told them that her Italian mother was waiting outside the door because she’s in love with Luke Bryan. Spoiler alert: Mama got to meet him!
Livy revealed to the judges that she would be performing Carrie Underwood’s “Love Wins,” a message that we all need to hear right now.
She sang with a pianist and the simplicity of the arrangement made the words she was singing hit even harder. You could tell by the looks on the judges faces that they thoroughly enjoyed her delivery.
Lionel, Carrie, and Luke all agreed she was ready for the next round! We can’t wait to see how far she gets.
