Olivia Newton-John was born in Cambridge, England. Her family moved to Melbourne, Australia when she was six years old.

Olivia shared a close bond with many of her fellow famous Australians, including Bindi Irwin.

The Grease star served as a guest judge on Dancing with the Stars in 2015 when Bindi was a contestant. Olivia and her daughter, Chloe, posed for a photo with Bindi and her professional dance partner, Derek Hough.

Bindi went on to win Dancing with the Stars that season.

In 2016, Bindi and her now-husband, Chandler Powell, participated in the Wellness Walk and Research Run that raised over $200,000 for the Olivia Newton-John Cancer Wellness & Research Centre. They walked alongside Olivia herself, who was overjoyed about the event’s success.

My special thanks to dear Bindi Irwin who came from Australia Zoo to support us on the Walk,” Olivia wrote next to a photo of her and Bindi on the day of the event. “Love you Bindi!”

Olivia battled cancer three times over the course of her life. She passed away on Monday (August 8) at the age of 73.

After learning about Olivia’s death, a heartbroken Bindi took to social media to share a tribute to her. She posted a photo of them walking hand-in-hand during the Wellness Walk and Research Run.

Bindi said Olivia was “One of the kindest and most wonderful souls the world has ever known.” You can see her tribute below.

Our hearts go out to all of Olivia’s loved ones during this difficult time. She will be missed.
