Blake Shelton turned 43 on Tuesday (June 18), and he got the chance to celebrate his big day with a special someone in his life…his girlfriend, Gwen Stefani!
Taking to Instagram, Gwen gushed about Blake in a sweet message she shared alongside a series of photos. The first of the two photos are throwbacks, taken during the early stage of Blake’s career when he still had long, curly hair.
The photos that follow show Blake in more modern times, including two snapshots of him and Gwen together.
Last but not least, a video in the slideshow depicts Blake’s big birthday gift. He and Gwen were invited to go on a surprise tour at the Shedd Aquarium in Chicago, where they got to meet a sea lion.
The sweet critter waddled its way over to Blake and gave him a kiss on the cheek when instructed to do so by its trainer. (You can see that video by flipping all the way through Gwen’s slideshow below).

In addition to thanking the aquarium for the birthday tour, Gwen used her Instagram post to gush about Blake. “Happy b day to my favorite human!!! Can’t believe your (sic) mine,” she wrote.
The love fest continued on Gwen’s Instagram Story, where she shared some videos of Blake in celebration of his birthday.
In one of the videos, Gwen sweetly addresses the camera, saying, “I just want to celebrate one of the greatest humans that ever walked the planet,” before leaning in to give Blake a birthday kiss.
How cute is that?
