Gwen Stefani’s son, Zuma, celebrates his 16th birthday

Gwen Stefani‘s middle son, Zuma, turned 16 on August 22nd. As a proud mom, Gwen shared a video montage online highlighting adorable photos of Zuma growing up. Although he began as a blonde-haired, blue-eyed baby, fans could not help but notice that Zuma is starting to resemble his stepfather, Blake Shelton, as he gets further into his teen years.

Gwen and Blake tied the knot in 2021 but reportedly began dating as early as 2015 when Zuma was just seven years old. In the years since, the country star’s presence has clearly had an impact on the young man, as he can be seen rocking a cowboy hat and playing guitar.

Music runs in Zuma’s veins

The slideshow reveals that Zuma first showed an interest in guitar at a very young age. This is no surprise, considering the amount of superstar musicians in his life. In addition to Blake Shelton, his mom, Gwen, is a Grammy-award-winning pop star. His biological father and Gwen’s former husband, Gavin Rossdale, is the lead singer and rhythm guitarist of British rock band Bush.

Zuma makes a surprise stage debut at Blake Shelton’s bar

On July 29th, Blake Shelton hinted to fans that he would stop by his Ole Red bar in Tishomingo, Oklahoma, to grab something to eat and potentially play a few songs. Fans excitedly packed the bar as the “God’s Country” singer made good on that promise. Patrons were in for an added treat when Blake invited Zuma to the stage to make his debut.

Zuma sang Zach Bryan’s “Oklahoma Smokeshow” while his stepdad beamed with pride from side stage. One fan caught the moment on video – see it below!
