Devils Backbone Brewing Company located in Blue Ridge Mountains near the Appalachian Trail is paying one qualified candidate winner $20,000 to hike the trail, drink beer and post pictures about it on their social media.

The brewing company is calling this paid position the “Chief Hiking Officer” and the lucky winner will be chosen by next spring. All you have to do is be 21 years or older, capable of hiking 2200 miles and willing to camp in the woods at night.
The candidate must also be passionate about drinking beer after each hike and post pictures of their progress to their followers on social media. The Chief Hiking Officer will be outfitted with gear and flown out to the trail and enjoy beer parties along the way.
The Appalachian Trail is the longest footpath in the United States and was completed in 1937. The trail goes through 14 states, starting from Georgia and ending in Maine and passes through eight national forests.
