On Easter Sunday (April 17), there was a NASCAR race at the Bristol Motor Speedway in Bristol, Tennessee. Those who attended the race got the chance to see a free, pre-race show from Chris Tomlin. Rascal Flatts‘ Gary LexVox was Tomlin’s special guest.
LeVox also shared he’d be performing the National Anthem prior to the race.
“Lesssss go y’all” LeVox wrote on Instagram. “I can’t wait to see those NASCAR loving faces in a few hours. I’ll be singing with the legend @christomlin and doing the National Anthem. Celebrating that ‘He has risen indeed!‘”

NASCAR later uploaded a video of LeVox’s performance so more people could see it. They captioned the video with the message, “Needed to hear this one in full.”
LeVox held his hand over his heart throughout the entire song. The video occasionally cut away from him to show various drivers and their families listening to his passionate performance. It was so touching to see some of the drivers’ young kids holding their hands over their hearts as well.
