Then, Brooks will jet over to Vegas to begin his last run of residency shows for 2023, starting on November 29.
Somewhere in the midst of all of this, Brooks has to find time to pause and celebrate Thanksgiving. Of course, he plans to spend the holiday with his wife of nearly 18 years, Trisha Yearwood.
Garth Describes A “Fabulous” Thanksgiving Dish Trisha Yearwood Makes With Their Leftovers
Brooks recently spoke with Good Morning America, and shared how he and Yearwood plan to celebrate Thanksgiving this year. While she’s currently busy “painting and sawing” to get the Friends in Low Places Bar ready for opening, she also has big Thanksgiving plans.
“She’ll find some way to do her phenomenal Thanksgiving,” Brooks said. On top of being a country music icon, Yearwood is also a cookbook author and has her own Food Network cooking show called Trisha’s Southern Kitchen.
The show is on a bit of a hiatus at the moment, but Yearwood vowed they’ll return with “a 2.0 version” sometime in the future.
Brooks also gushed about a dish Yearwood prepares with all of the Thanksgiving leftovers. He described it to GMA as a “casserole where she takes everything in layers that’s leftover, and then puts a biscuit on top of it, sticks it in the oven and that biscuit rises.”
Continuing, Brooks said this casserole is “the most fabulous thing on the planet.” Sure sounds delicious!
Brooks was also a recent guest on The Kelly Clarkson Show. Clarkson is good friends with him and Yearwood. During their conversation, Brooks shared immense gratitude for Yearwood and everything she does. You can watch the video below.
We hope Brooks and Yearwood have a wonderful Thanksgiving this year!
