Christian Artist Forrest Frank Surprised Fans With The Release Of A New Christmas Album

“SURPRISE!!! CHRISTMAS ALBUM OUT NOW,” wrote Christian artist Forrest Frank on his Instagram page on Friday, December 5.

Forrest had previously teased the release of only one song on Friday, giving his fans a few song titles to choose from to help him determine which track should be released first.

However, Christmas came early, as Forrest released the album this is what christmas feels like, featuring JVKE, in its entirety on Friday.

About The New Christmas Album

For Forrest, who won Artist of the Year at the 2025 GMA Dove Awards and had two of his songs — “Your Way’s Better” and “Lemonade” — enter the Billboard Hot 100 this summer, this album is Forrest’s second Christmas album.

His first Christmas album, titled A Merry Lofi Christmas, was released in 2023 and was primarily comprised of familiar Christmas classics.

Now, with his new album, this is what christmas feels like, Forrest and JVKE have released an album with completely original tracks.

Among those songs is “CHRISTmas,” which aims to restore Christ as the emphasis in Christmas.

The lyrics to the chorus are as follows:

“Let’s put Christ back in Christmas. Let’s put the King of the world in His rightful place. Let’s put Christ back in Christmas. Let the gifts be reminders of what He gave, and the lights that wе see remind you and me of the light of thе world, we hung on a tree.”
