When you live in certain parts of Florida, you expect to see an alligator every once in a while, but you don’t expect one to literally be knocking on your front door!
That is exactly what happened to a family in Sarasota, Florida recently. After hearing something at their front door, they -along with their pet cat – went to see what was going on. All the noise turned out to be an alligator who climbed up their front door, which has glass window treatments so you could clearly see the beast.
They snapped a photo of their cat staring right at the gator and sent it to their friends.
Facebook user Ed Werdell shared the image on the social media outlet saying, “We have friends in Sarasota FL that heard noise at their front door. Take a look at what they found!!! Wow!”

This isn’t the first time that a family of Floridians have found an alligator making a ruckus at their front door. In May of 2020 a woman in Fort Myers, Florida heard someone knocking on her front door. It was actually two alligators fighting!
