Paramount+ Drops the First Teaser for Season 2 of “1923”
The first season of the American Western drama series 1923 premiered nearly two years ago as a prequel to the hit series Yellowstone. Since then, fans have been wondering when, or if, the show would return.

1923 follows the ancestors of the Dutton family as they navigate the challenges of the 20th century, including westward expansion, prohibition, and the Great Depression.
Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren star in the series as Jacob and Cara Dutton. The cast also includes Julia Schlaepfer as Alexandra, Darren Mann as Jack Dutton, Brandon Sklenar as Spencer Dutton, Aminah Nieves as Teona Rainwater, and Michelle Randolph as Elizabeth.
After a very long hiatus, a release date for season 2 of 1923 has been announced.
The news of the show’s return came on Thursday morning, December 5. Fans will finally be able to see the Dutton family storyline continue when season 2 premieres on February 23, 2025.

According to PEOPLE, who released an exclusive first look at the upcoming episodes, the storyline of 1923 season 2 will follow Jacob and Cara Dutton at the Dutton family ranch. The outlet reports that they will face “a cruel winter bringing new challenges and unfinished business.”
The show’s official logline also teases the drama to come, revealing that “harsh conditions and adversaries [threaten] to end the Dutton legacy.”
It continues by saying, “Spencer embarks on an arduous journey home, racing against time to save his family in Montana. Meanwhile, Alexandra sets off on her own harrowing trans-Atlantic journey to find Spencer and reclaim their love.”
Paramount+ gave a short preview of the upcoming season. In the clip, Spencer is heard, clearly upset, worrying about his family’s safety.
