Tim McGraw was named one of the 2026 Country Music Hall of Fame inductees on Friday (March 20), and his wife, Faith Hill, was there to help celebrate.
Tim McGraw and Faith Hill are one of country music’s greatest love stories. The couple met and fell in love while touring together on the Spontaneous Combustion Tour in 1996. They married later that same year, and as they say, “the rest is history.”
Tim and Faith raised three daughters together while building successful solo careers and record-breaking combined tours. Their three Soul2Soul tours were some of the highest-grossing in country music history.

Following the end of their Soul2Soul: World Tour in 2018, Faith Hill mostly stepped away from her music career without explanation. Hill returned to the spotlight in 2021 to portray Margaret Dutton in the Taylor Sheridan Yellowstone prequel titled 1883.

In 2024, Faith deactivated all her social media accounts and has largely remained behind-the-scenes ever since. She has occasionally stepped out to support her daughters’ endeavors and was seen backstage at CMA Fest in 2025, but she seems content to be enjoying a retirement of sorts, though she has never declared that she is retired.
Faith Hill & Tim McGraw Share A Sweet Moment
On Friday (March 20), Tim McGraw was announced as this year’s Modern Era inductee to the Country Music Hall of Fame. While speaking to the crowd about the honor, he got emotional as he spoke about the women in his life who made his career possible.
He specifically addressed Faith, who was in the audience to witness the historic moment.
“I would not be standing here if it were not for you. Nor would I want to be,” he said. “I can’t wait for the day that I’m sitting there and you’re standing here.”

Following the ceremony, Tim and Faith shared an embrace and a kiss, as seen in a video captured by Country Now. The moment marked the first time Faith had appeared in public since Tim shared that she had undergone numerous surgeries.
He shared the news during a tour stop in California last October. He spoke to the crowd about his own series of surgeries before revealing that he wasn’t the only one in the household who had been through it.
“The doctor who did my double knee replacement is here tonight. Dr. Chen, where you at?” Tim said before adding details about Faith’s health.
“My wife has been going through quite a bit of surgeries. She’s had five neck surgeries, and she’s had a couple of hand surgeries. Her hand surgeon, Dr. Rose, is here tonight.”
