Meet 9-Year-Old Pranysqa Mishra, An Extraordinary Young Singer From Tampa, Florida
Pranysqa Mishra is one of AGT’s newest (and youngest) Golden Buzzer recipients.
9-year-old Pranysqa lives in Tampa, Florida with her parents and younger sister. They all accompanied her to her audition for Season 18 of America’s Got Talent.
Before she went onstage, Pranysqa called her beloved grandmother back home. Pranysqa said her grandma has always supported her musical dreams and encouraged her to sing on AGT.

Pranysqa told the AGT judges that if her audition went well, her grandmother would be the first person she’d call.
The judges were instantly charmed by Pranysqa’s outgoing personality and adorable outfit. They asked her to share some of her all-time favorite singers, and she named Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston, and Tina Turner.
Pranysqa Earns An AGT Golden Buzzer For Energetic Cover Of “River Deep – Mountain High”
When it finally came time for her to sing, Pranysqa broke into an energetic cover of one of Tina Turner’s songs. She performed “River Deep – Mountain High,” which Tina released with her then-husband, Ike Turner, in 1966.
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame later added “River Deep – Mountain High” to its list of 500 Songs That Shaped Rock and Roll. It was also inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 1999.
The AGT judges stared in awe as 9-year-old Pranysqa powered through the fast-paced song. She delivered a series of soaring notes, all while working the stage with the confidence of a seasoned performer.
After the song ended, Hedi Klum was the first judge to speak. She said, “I did not expect that. We expect a lot of things, but I did not expect that.”
Heidi loved Pranysqa’s performance so much that she didn’t give the other judges a chance to say a single word. She addressed the talented young singer, saying:
“I want you to call your grandmother and say that Heidi Klum pushed a Golden Buzzer for you.“

Pranysqa burst into tears after Heidi pressed the Golden Buzzer. Hedi rushed to give Pranysqa a hug and said, “How amazing are you?”
Pranysqa also celebrated the milestone moment with her family. Heidi joined them backstage when Pranysqa called her grandmother, who started crying when she learned that Pranysqa got the Golden Buzzer on AGT.
