Nashville singer/songwriter Ernest is stepping back from touring

Nashville-based musician Ernest has announced a break from touring to focus on his family. In addition to being one of the most sought-after songwriters in modern country music, Ernest has released three studio albums as a recording artist.

This year, he has been traveling both locally and internationally, playing shows and festivals. However, the demanding schedule is wearing on the 32-year-old, and he has announced that he is taking a month off from touring to spend some time at home.

He wrote:

“Getting out and playing for you guys every night has been a dream. But running non-stop I’m not gonna lie, it’s taken its toll on me…”

Ernest and his wife, Delany Royer, welcomed their first son in April 2021. The musician continued:

“My son, Ryman is now at the age where every time I get home, he asks me if Im leaving… and I just can’t stand hearing him ask for daddy thru a phone call any more… I wanna spend quality time at home and pour into that reserve.”

Ernest expressed that he wants to show up as his “best self” for both his family and his fans.
