Emmy Russell And Her Husband, Tyler Ward, Are Expecting Their Second Child Together
Emmy Russell, American Idol finalist and granddaughter of country music icon Loretta Lynn, announced in February that she and her husband, Tyler Ward, are expecting their second child together.
The couple announced it on social media, writing, “Secret’s out!!! Baby #2” alongside the video.
Emmy’s video showed her trying to surprise Tyler with a positive pregnancy test. She handed it to their one-year-old daughter, Taylor, and called Tyler in the room for a surprise.
“Mama!!!!” Tyler exclaimed in excitement upon seeing the test in Taylor’s hand!
Baby #2 will join their daughter, Taylor Raydiant, who was born on January 31, 2025. Tyler, who is also a musician, and Emmy wrote and released a song titled “London Bridges” about their daughter.

On Easter Sunday, Emmy shared an Instagram video revealing that since her whole family was in town for the holiday, they’d be doing a gender reveal for them and would then eventually share the news with fans.
On Monday (April 6), the couple shared a video of the moment they found out the baby’s gender during an ultrasound visit. The ultrasound tech asked, “Ready Freddy?!” and Tyler responded, “I don’t know!”
As he and Emmy waited in anticipation, the ultrasound tech finally said, “It’s a boy!”
“What!” Tyler said, jumping up in excitement. “Let’s go!”
Emmy looked stunned on the table, her hands covering her face in disbelief!
It’s clear the couple, who secretly tied the knot before their daughter was born, were both ecstatic and surprised by the news.
