Emmy Russell Showcases Her Beautiful Voice While Singing “I Can’t Make You Love Me” By Bonnie Raitt
As mentioned previously, Emmy Russell covered “I Can’t Make You Love Me” by Bonnie Raitt, who was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2000.
Raitt released her original version of “I Can’t Make You Love Me” in 1991. It’s one of her most successful songs to date.
Fellow Rock & Roll Hall of Famer George Michael further popularized the song when he released a cover in 1997.
“I Can’t Make You Love Me” was the perfect song for Emmy to showcase her beautiful and unique voice. Although she delivered a lovely performance, the judges could tell she seemed a little nervous at the very end.
They tried to reassure the young singer, telling her she didn’t need to put on a huge production to showcase her vocal talent. “You’re competing against yourself, and tonight you won,” judge Katy Perry told Russell.
