Exciting news for all Tesla fans and beer lovers out there! Elon Musk has done it again and is selling Tesla-branded beers that are brewed in Germany and designed to look like its highly anticipated Cybertruck.
Introducing Tesla’s first beer, “GigaBier,” it comes in packs of three and are sleek glossy black bottles with sharp edges with a glow-in-the-dark Giga watermark.
The beer was first unveiled in October 2021 to celebrate the opening of Tesla’s Berlin Gigafactory and was designed to honor the 500-year tradition of German Reinheitsgebot beermaking.
However, after a 265-day delay caused by permit delays and environmental activists, Tesla delivered its first 30 vehicles in March 2022.
According to Tesla, it is brewed using the company’s exclusive strain of Cyberhops and at a price of 89 euros (which is equivalent to 98 dollars), the bottles are 330ml or 11oz, which is slightly less liquid than the standard-sized cans in America.
Even so, and in addition to only being available for purchase in Europe, many see GigaBier as an exciting addition to Tesla’s brand and another example of Musk’s creative and innovative marketing strategies.
GigaBier is actually Tesla’s second alcoholic beverage that the company put on the market after launching Tesla Tequila in 2020, which sold for $250 and came in a lightning-shaped glass bottle.
The tequila was a huge success, and a second release was later requested and met to satisfy the high demand of loyal fans. The good news is that now GigaBier is more affordable and more accessible to more people compared to the tequila.
One interesting thing to note about Musk is that even though he stated that he doesn’t “like the taste or effects of most alcohol,” he does like to drink red wine.
Additionally, at the World Cup final in Qatar in December, Elon was spotted drinking red wine, while another time he tweeted, “A little red wine, vintage record, some Ambien… and magic!”
Overall, when it comes to GigaBier, the unique packaging and exclusive brewing make it a must-try for Tesla and beer enthusiasts alike. If you’d like, you can click here to purchase the beer on the official GigaBier website.
