Eric Church will probably never receive another gift quite like the one Ella Langley gave him.
In February, Ella Langley joined Eric Church as a special guest on his Free the Machine Tour.
Being asked to open several shows for someone, especially a country superstar like Church, is a huge honor. So, when her run of dates came to an end, Langley knew she wanted to give him something to show how much she appreciated the opportunity.
During an appearance on Country Countdown USA, the “Choosin’ Texas” singer revealed that she ended up buying him a one-of-a-kind gift.
“I randomly got him a pocket watch at an antique store. I gave it to him. It was like a pocket watch from the ’20s, with a gold chain connected to a pocket knife,” Langley shared.
The coolest part about it, though, is that it almost felt meant to be. Langley said that when she came across the pocket watch, she noticed the antique already had the letter “E” engraved on the back.
That’s definitely a gift Church will cherish forever!

Ella Langley Has A Very Busy Year Ahead Of Her
While talking about their time on the road together, Langley also shared some valuable advice Church gave her if she ever found herself doubting her ability to do her job.
“He told me, ‘When this thing gets weird, make it about the music.’ He said, ‘I’ll never make another Chief. That was it. You get one Chief, and that’s what it is.’ Then he’s on to the next thing.”
And moving on is exactly what Langley is focused on right now. She has a lot of exciting things coming up this year.
For starters, she’s getting ready to release her second studio album, Dandelion, which will be out on April 10. Along with that, she will also be heading out on a nationwide tour starting in May.
If you think that’s all Langley has planned, think again. She also revealed that she has a duet on the way with a country superstar she’s never worked with before.
It turns out, Keith Urban reached out to collaborate on a song together. Fans will be able to hear it on her upcoming album.
“Imagine you’re me, and you get a text from Keith Urban,” Langley said. “When he reached out, I said ‘Absolutely.’ We also finished up some of this album at his studio. One day, he was just there sitting on the couch, just hanging out. He just sat there and listened. It was really cool.”
