Ella Langley has come a long way in her journey with mental health, and she credits her friend and fellow country star Miranda Lambert for helping her through it.
Langley has been open about her struggles with mental health over the years. Earlier last summer, the singer shared that it runs in her family, and even spoke about one of the “darkest” days she’s ever faced.
Surprisingly, it happened on the same day she scored big at the 2025 ACM Awards, taking home five awards out of eight nominations.
“I won’t lie, this last week has been probably one of the toughest mental health weeks I’ve had in a long time,” she said during an interview with The Scotty Kay Show shortly after the ACM Awards. “Which is crazy, because so many good things are happening. So many things I’ve prayed for and dreamed about,” she continued to say, “It’s just the disease of my family, really.”
Langley said it’s important to talk about it because mental health struggles can be deceiving. From the outside, everything can look great, while in reality, someone may be quietly dealing with a lot behind the scenes.
“I think it’s important to talk about it and to share that just because I might seem like I’m on the top of the mountain right now, it doesn’t look like that all the time,” she added.

Not long after that, the “Choosin’ Texas” singer ended up canceling several scheduled shows that August. She posted a statement on social media at the time, explaining that she needed to step back and take a break to focus on her “mind, body, and heart.”
How Miranda Lambert Has Helped Ella With Her Mental Health Struggles
Langley’s career has only grown since then, and 2026 is already shaping up to be huge for her. She’s getting ready to release a new album titled Dandelion, and the song she co-wrote with Miranda Lambert, “Choosin’ Texas,” has made history.
So, right now, Langley has to protect her peace more than ever, and thankfully, Lambert’s been helping her with that.
In a recent interview with Country Countdown USA, she spoke about how Lambert has given her amazing advice for improving her mental health and handling those challenges while being in the spotlight.
“‘You are more important than this job,'” Langley says Lambert told her. “She made me care for myself. Having someone like that made me feel like I’m okay,” she adds.
Seems like we all need a friendship like Ella Langley and Miranda Lambert’s!
