Hours after Duck Dynasty star Sadie Robertson Huff shared the news that she had been hospitalized with COVID-19, her mom revealed that Sadie wasn’t the only one that had been recovering from the sickness. Korie Robertson, wife of Willie Robertson, and Sadie’s sister Bella had also been diagnosed with the coronavirus.
Korie shared the news to social media saying that “it’s been rough,” but they are doing better.
“In case you haven’t yet seen [Sadie’s] post, yes we’ve had Covid-19, and yes it’s been rough! Thankfully, we are feeling better and honestly we weren’t sure about whether or not to tell the world about this. Feels strange to announce that you’re sick when there are so many around the world are suffering with so much right now,” Korie wrote.
She indicated that the family has been suffering from the disease for a month and have decided to talk about it because they feel that they can help others by sharing their experience.
“Sadie, Bella (who also had it) and I are going to record a podcast this afternoon sharing our experiences, our thoughts on masks, vaccines, social-distancing, fear, safety, etc.,” said Korie. “We aren’t medical professionals, but we’ve had a crash course in this disease over this last month and feel like we have some things to share that could help others, and it’s definitely too much to put it a post.”
It’s unclear if anyone else in the Robertson family was hospitalized with COVID-19, but Sadie, who is expecting her first child with husband Christian Huff, spent some time in the hospital receiving treatment.
“I’m not going to lie, this has been one of the most challenging things. I got Covid-19 and ended up getting very sick. I know everyone experiences covid differently, but wow these symptoms are wild. I’ve definitely struggled through this one! Thankfully baby Huff is doing great and healthy, and I am now healing as well,” Sadie shared on Instagram.
We are glad to hear that the Robertson crew is on the mend and we look forward to hearing all about their experience on Sadie’s Whoa That’s Good podcast episode that will air Wednesday (October 28).
