Just a few days before Duck Dynasty: The Revival‘s premiere on June 1, 2025, Phil Robertson passed away on May 25th. While he did not appear in the show, likely due to his declining health, they did pay tribute to him at the end of the first episode. His wife, Kay, did make a couple of appearances on the new show.

Duck Dynasty: The Revival Is Returning For Season Two

Fans found out pretty early on that the show was picked up for a second season, but didn’t have much information about when it would air. However, fans did get some insight into whether Phil’s passing would be addressed in the second season.

YouTube video

Bella Robertson Mayo, Korie and Willie’s youngest daughter, revealed in an interview with Taste of Country that the show will feature the family grieving the loss of their patriarch.

“You’ll see our grandpa pass and how we deal with that,” she said in the interview. “You’ll see birthdays and so much life happening. It’s up and downs and all the things — real life stuff. How we as a family cope.”

When Will Season 2 Of Duck Dynasty: The Revival Premiere?

On February 12, 2026, the show announced its return to television would be on Saturday, March 7, at 10 pm/9 pm central on A&E.

They also dropped the Season Two trailer, and it shows that Willie is still on his mission to find his successor. It also features more family members, including Jase Robertson and Jessica Robertson (Jep’s wife), who appear in the trailer.

The trailer also features the birth of Sadie’s third daughter, Kit Carroway, and the chaos that ensued on a day when they seemingly honored Phil as a family, calling it “Phil Days,” instead of Field Day. The day seems to include kayaking in a pond, plucking feathers off ducks, catching frogs, and a huge explosion, everything Phil loved to do.

The trailer ends at Phil Days, with Jase saying, “As Phil would say, ‘Everybody happy, happy, happy, now.” The video cut to Phil giving a thumbs-up.
