Duck Dynasty Announces Return To Television After An 8-Year Hiatus
Exciting news for Duck Dynasty fans! The Roberston family will return to the screen in a brand-new series, Duck Dynasty: The Revival. A&E announced Wednesday (January 22) that the new variation of the hit reality show has been confirmed for two seasons containing 20 one-hour episodes.
Duck Dynasty became the most-watched nonfiction series in cable history. It amassed 11.8 million viewers at the peak of its 11 seasons. The series went off the air in 2017 when the family chose to focus on other ventures.
According to a press release, the spinoff will follow “Willie and Korie and their growing family of adult children and grandchildren, the next generation of Robertsons living on the family homestead in Louisiana.” Beloved family members, including Phil Robertson, Miss Kay, Uncle Si, and more, will also be featured in the show.
Additionally, the Robertson patriarchs will “grapple with mapping out the future of Duck Commander, watching the kids navigate marriage, children and businesses of their own, and passing down the family legacy.”
When will Duck Dynasty: The Revival premiere?
While an official release date has not yet been set, the network shared that fans can expect the new series to make its debut in the summer of 2025. Duck Dynasty: The Revival will air weekly on A&E with a “second window on a major streaming service following the conclusion of each season, to be announced.”

The Robertson Family Reacts To The News
Following the announcement, Willie and Korie shared:
“Going back on A&E feels a little like going back home. We’re thankful for all who have followed along as our family has grown and expanded and can’t wait to get cameras rolling again on all our new adventures, or perhaps misadventures.”
Sadie Robertson shared a post online celebrating the reboot. She wrote:
“It’s wild to think how much has changed, but also how much has stayed the same. New kids, new spouses, new businesses, new fun…ALL the generations and no end to the adventures (and yes, probably some misadventures too)!”
