The world was first introduced to Duane “Dog” Chapman on the TV show Take This Job, which was a show about people with different occupations. The episode Dog appeared on did so well, he got his own spin-off show, Dog The Bounty Hunter, which premiered on August 4, 2005.

That show ran on A&E for eight seasons before it was cancelled in 2012.

In September 2012, CMT announced they ordered a new reality show centered around Dog and his family helping out other bounty hunters called Dog and Beth: On the Hunt. The show premiered in 2013 and ran for three seasons until 2016.

After three years off the air, Dog returned with a show on WGN called Dog’s Most Wanted in 2019. Although Dog is “mostly” retired, the show followed him chasing down fugitives while also dealing with his wife’s cancer diagnosis.

After taking some time off following Beth’s passing in June 2019, Dog is officially returning to television with a brand-new show. He announced the news on Instagram with a photo from filming, saying, “New show!! Dog Unleashed!! Coming soon!! More details to follow.”
