Jason Aldean supported by Donald Trump after releasing controversial music video.

Aldean has recently caused a stir in the country music world with his new music video for his song “Try That In a Small Town,” and many celebrities have released statements defending or bashing the song.

Travis Tritt posted on social media stating “For the record, I love the new Jason Aldean single.” And told Aldean to “say what you want to say.”

Coffey Anderson posted a video of him out in a field looking like he is searching for something with a caption that says,“Trying to find the r@cism in this song.”

On the other side, celebrities like Sheryl Crow and Jason Isbell criticized the song.

Jason Aldean responded to the backlash stating:

“In the past 24 hours I have been accused of releasing a pro-lynching song (a song that has been out since May) and was subject to the comparison that I (direct quote) was not too pleased with the nationwide BLM protests. These references are not only meritless, but dangerous. There is not a single lyric in the song that references race or points to it- and there isn’t a single video clip that isn’t real news footage -and while I can try and respect others to have their own interpretation of a song with music- this one goes too far.”

Aldean’s fans have gone above and beyond with their support shoving “Try That In A Small Town” into the #1 spot on iTunes’ All-Genre chart.

Amid the extreme backlash, Trump posted on social media revealing his stance on the issue.

While many celebrities have shared their opinions on the song, this response trumps them all.

Donald Trump, former President of the United States, has shared his thoughts on the song calling it a “great new song.”
