Chapman’s fiancée, Francie, shared that Garry suffered a “slight fracture in his tailbone and a slight concussion.” Her son and daughter-in-law are “taking care” of Garry, and they are working on “building a great relationship.”

Garry has not mentioned or released details about the accident, however, he did post a tribute to his late mom, Beth, on the one-year anniversary of her death saying:

“I guess I have to realize that it’s only been 1 year. So many things have happened that I want to tell you about, and obviously so many things I need advice on. You always knew the path I was on and where it lead which helped you give me invaluable advice. To think I’ve not been able to lean on you for a year now makes me uneasy; but if your lessons taught me anything I can’t stop, I must keep going, until my dreams are a reality.”

To honor Beth on the anniversary of her death, Dog gathered with close family and friends for a private memorial ceremony. The spot he picked for the memorial was a favorite for them both, the South Platte River in Deckers, Colorado. According to Dog, he and Beth used to frequent the river every Father’s Day in the past. She would float in her raft, while Dog would fish.
