Remember When Kellie Pickler Won Dancing With The Stars?
If you’re a longtime viewer of Dancing With The Stars, you probably remember when country singer Kellie Pickler graced the ballroom floor during Season 16.
Her partner throughout her time on the show was professional dancer Derek Hough, who is now one of the three judges of the competition, alongside Bruno Tonioli and Carrie Ann Inaba.
But before joining the judging panel, Hough led multiple celebrities to victory. He won the Mirrorball Trophy six times during his 17 seasons on the show. One of those includes Pickler.

He and the American Idol alum were frontrunners early in the competition, earning the top score from the judges in six of the season’s ten weeks. Thanks to high scores and strong fan votes, Pickler was crowned the Season 16 champion.
Derek Hough Shares Never-Before-Seen Footage Of Him & Former DWTS Partner Kellie Pickler
At this point, it’s been over 12 years since Kellie Pickler and Derek Hough danced together. But just a few days ago, Hough took to his Instagram to share a throwback video from their rehearsals.
“Just stumbled upon an old hard drive and found a treasure trove of Dance rehearsal archives, basically a little time capsule from the [Kellie Pickler] season,” Hough wrote in the videos caption.
“Here’s a fun, behind-the-scenes clip of us trying out a trick we never ended up using,” he continued. “But wow, it’s amazing to look back and see how fearless and talented Kellie was, just going for anything I threw at her.”
The never-before-seen clip shows the two working hard to nail a tough dance move. In the video, Pickler appears to be doing a spin while somehow going under and around Hough’s arm.
It then cuts to a clip of the move they actually performed on the ballroom floor during live episodes. Hough left a comment on the video joking that the original choreography “looked like I was trying to give her a wild neck adjustment.”
Fans flooded the comments, sharing how much they loved the throwback footage. Even after more than a decade, many people are still calling Pickler and Hough one of the best duos in the show’s history. A few comments left by fans were:
