On Tuesday, November 4, ABC revealed its list of upcoming holiday specials and episodes.
One of the biggest announcements was for fans of Dancing With the Stars, who learned that the show will have its first annual holiday special titled Dancing With the Holidays.
The one-hour broadcast will air just one week after its season 34 finale, on Tuesday, December 2, at 7 p.m. CT.
As of now, not many details have been shared just yet, including who will perform. Viewers can expect plenty of holiday spirit during the event, though.
The special will feature themed dance routines, festive musical performances, and cheerful holiday messages throughout the show.
DWTS Season 34 Week 8 Ends In A Shocking Elimination
It’s hard to believe that Dancing With the Stars has already finished its eighth week of competition.
This season has been full of amazing performances from all the celebrities and their pro partners. And if you’ve been tuning in each week, you also know that there’s been some surprising eliminations, too.
On the latest episode (Nov. 4), the cast hit the ballroom for Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Night, with only eight contestants left in the running.
During the night, viewers saw routines from Jordan Chiles and Ezra Sosa, Danielle Fishel and Pasha Pashkov, Robert Irwin and Whitney Carson, Whitney Leavitt and Mark Ballas, Dylan Efron and Daniella Karagach, Alix Earle and Val Chmerkovskiy, Elaine Hendrix and Alan Bernsten, and Andy Richter with his partner Emma Slater.
Later in the night, the contestants teamed up for a group dance competition. The remaining stars were split into two teams, with hosts Alfonso Ribeiro and Julianne Hough each joining one group as special guests for their routines.
Unfortunately, even with all of the fun moments throughout the episode, one couple still had to say goodbye at the end.
As Alfonso and Julianne took turns announcing who was safe, the final three couples left were Andy and Emma, Danielle and Pasha, and Whitney and Mark.
Danielle and Pasha ended up being the couple with the fewest votes, so they were sent home.
Dancing With the Stars airs every Tuesday at 7 p.m. CT. Next week, they will be throwing a special celebration in honor of the show’s 20th anniversary.
