Dan + Shay Join Season 25 Of “The Voice”

In a big announcement, The Voice has revealed that country duo Dan + Shay will be joining The Voice for Season 25, which will air in 2024.

Season 24 has not even begun airing, but we already know who will be in the iconic red chairs for Season 25! On June 21, The Voice teased the huge announcement on all their social media channels, but also revealed that for the first time, they will have a Double Chair.

What Is A Double Chair On ‘The Voice’?

A Double Chair is not new to fans of The Voice abroad. It is used by musical duos, like Benji and Joel Madden in Australia.

On Twitter, the show wrote, “incoming: 2024 Coaches !!! double chair!!! epic lineup!!! stay tuned!!!”

Fans will notice that at the bottom of the chairs, it reads, “We want you,” instead of the usual “I want you.”

But wait, who are the coaches for Season 24?

Before we get ahead of ourselves, let’s clear up the confusion! Season 23 just wrapped up and it served as Blake Shelton’s final season as coach. Country legend Reba McEntire is taking his place for Season 24 (which will air in the fall of 2023), alongside John Legend, Niall Horan, and Gwen Stefani!

On Thursday (June 22), The Voice revealed its first ever coaching duo: country superstars Dan + Shay! They will be joined by Reba McEntire, John Legend, and Chance the Rapper.

Have Dan + Shay Ever Been On “The Voice”?

For Season 20, Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney, who make up the Grammy Award-winning duo Dan + Shay were Blake Shelton’s advisors for Season 20. They helped coach Cam Anthony to win the whole thing!

They also performed “Speechless” with Season 15 champion Chevel Shepherd.
