From Kenny Chesney’s “There Goes My Life” to Trace Adkins’ “You’re Gonna Miss This,” some of country music’s most heartfelt songs have been inspired by parenthood. These musicians prove that two dreams can coexist: building a family and building a career. Read on to see a list of country stars who have welcomed babies so far in 2026!
Brandon Coleman (The Red Clay Strays)
Brandon Coleman, frontman of CMA Awards’ Group of the Year The Red Clay Strays, welcomed a baby girl with his wife, Macie, in early February. They have not yet shared their daughter’s name publicly. Along with a sweet photo of the newborn in a white eyelet dress, the new mom wrote:
“This is such an indescribable feeling that is so hard to put into words. We are truly in awe of her and SO SO SO in love. Nothing will ever top this feeling.”
Chevel Shepherd
Voice alum Chevel Shepherd and her husband, Junior Garcia, welcomed their first child, a baby girl, on February 5th. After taking a three-week hiatus from social media, Chevel shared a video online detailing her birth story. She reflected:
“I have never felt as close to God as I have when I was in that delivery room. I felt His presence so strong. He was with us that whole time.”
Luke Combs
Country superstar Luke Combs is three for three as he welcomed his third son with his wife, Nicole, in early February. The exact birth date of the new baby is not known; however, Luke was forced to cancel his Madden Bowl performance on February 6th, for reasons presumably related to the birth.
Chet Wiley Combs joins his older brothers, Tex and Beau. Nicole shared the news of the baby’s arrival on his expected due date (Feb 19), revealing that he had been born a “few weeks” early. She wrote:
“Happy due date to the littlest Combs BOY! We’ve loved soaking up these last few weeks of newborn snuggles.”
Thomas Rhett
Thomas Rhett and his wife Lauren are the parents of four beautiful little girls. With their fifth child, they did not find out the gender beforehand, leaving fans guessing whether the girl trend would continue, of if they would finally have a son.
On February 27th, the couple announced that their BABY BOY was born the week prior, two weeks before his due date. Brave Elijah Akins joins older sisters Willa Gray (9), Ada James (7), Lennon Love (5), and Lillie Carolina (3). Lauren wrote:
“Thomas Rhett was my biggest champion in labor & delivery🤍 He helped deliver him (😭), was the first one to see and *tearfully*, mixed with a bit of shock announce to us all in the room ‘It’s a BOY.'”
Dylan Marlowe
Rising star Dylan Marlowe and his wife Natalie shared news of their pregnancy in September. The following month, they revealed that they would be having identical twin boys. Case and Huck Marlowe made their debut at the end of February/beginning of March (exact date unknown). The new dad wrote:
“Thank you Lord for this double blessing, our hearts and laps are full❤️”
Honorable Mention: Mattie Jackson
While not a country star herself, Mattie Jackson Smith is the daughter of country music legend Alan Jackson. She and her husband, Connor, welcomed their second child on February 13th. The baby girl, Charlotte “Charlie” Ann Smith, joins her older brother Wesley Alan (yes, named after his grandfather).
Mattie shared a series of sweet photos of the new bundle of joy and wrote:
“Our little valentine decided to make her entrance a few days early, and we couldn’t be more in love with her! You are the greatest tiny pink blessing, angel girl!”
Congratulations to these country music families on the arrival of their new babies!
