Mitch Rossell Wows AGT Judges With Performance Of Original Song During First Qualifiers Round
Mitch Rossell captured America’s hearts with his audition for the 2023 season of America’s Got Talent. The country singer performed an original song, titled “Son,” as a tribute to his father who passed away.
The video from Rossell’s emotional audition took off online after its release. It has over 1.7 million views on YouTube alone at the time of this writing.

“It was a compliment you could hear a pin drop during the entire performance,” judge Simon Cowell said after Rossell finished singing. “And it was sincere. I really really think people are going to connect with you, the song. This was a great audition. Brilliant.”
All four AGT judges voted to send Rossell through to the next stage of the competition.

When Rossell returned to the AGT stage for the first round of the qualifiers, he had another original song to share, titled “All I Need to See.” The heartfelt song captivated the audience and the judges, who heaped praise on Rossell after his performance.
Cowell, who’d been so complimentary of Rossell before, doubled down on his feelings. He told Rossell that he is “the real deal.”
Rossell also received high praise from judge Howie Mandel. He told Rossell he believers he will be an act for others to beat on the show.
