Country Singer Mitchell Tenpenny Expecting His First Child
Country singer and songwriter Mitchell Tenpenny is best known for his music that blends country, pop, and R&B influences.
He first rose to fame in 2018 with his breakout hit “Drunk Me,” which helped establish him as a rising voice in country music. Since then, he has released multiple popular tracks, including “Truth About You” and collaborations like “At the End of a Bar” with Chris Young.
Tenpenny is also an accomplished songwriter, having contributed to songs recorded by other country artists. He is married to fellow country artist Meghan Patrick.
On Tuesday (March 31), the couple announced they are expecting their first child – a baby girl later this year! The announcement marks a major milestone for the pair, who have been open about their journey to start a family and the challenges they faced along the way.
Patrick and Tenpenny, who married in 2022, described the pregnancy as a deeply meaningful moment in their lives.
In an emotional video posted to social media, the couple sits down for a quiet breakfast, and as Patrick offers a prayer of gratitude, she subtly reveals the pregnancy. They also included footage of telling family members and learning the baby’s gender, which was revealed with a pink cake reveal.
“We’ve been blessed with the greatest gift of all this year! God is so good and always right on time… we can’t wait to be Mom and Dad,” the couple wrote in the caption.
Patrick and Tenpenny have quite the busy tour schedules this upcoming summer. Patrick is making her mark on the road with her debut U.S. headlining Golden Child Tour, which continues through July, while Tenpenny wraps up his Speed of Light Tour, hitting stops across Nevada, California, and Colorado before its finale in Wabash, Indiana, on August 27.
