Country star Cody Johnson and his wife, Brandi, have welcomed a baby boy!
“‘Til You Can’t” singer Cody Johnson announced the birth of his third child during an appearance on Country Countdown USA with Lon Helton. According to Cody, Jaycee Daniel Johnson was born on October 21.
“I finally got my boy. He & mom are here at the house, and they’re healthy & happy. It was a wonderful experience,” Cody told Lon. “We hadn’t announced it, but there’s no way that if Lon asked about it, I’m not gonna not talk about it. But we haven’t announced it.”
The couple hasn’t made the official announcement on social media yet, so no photos or other details are available. Baby Jaycee joins big sisters Clara Mae (10) and Cori (8).
Cody and Brandi announced that they were expecting baby #3 on the Red Carpet ahead of the Academy of Country Music Awards in May. Cody told PEOPLE at the time, “We’re having a little boy! We decided to make this our announcement to the world and our gender reveal as well.”

In a July interview with Cody Alan on SiriusXM’s The Highway, Johnson shared the clever way his wife told him that she was pregant.
“So Brandi did this weird thing where she was like, she texted me, she ran to town and she’s like, ‘Hey, can you come out to the barn and help me unload my truck?’ And I was like, ‘Okay.’ Like, you know, I go out there and it’s this like little bitty box and I’m like, ‘You 100% could have done this yourself.’ And so I unload the box and she’s like, ‘Oh, and I do have one more thing in there if you can get that.’ And I’m like, ‘Okay.’ It’s this little bitty box,” Johnson said. “I unload it and I’m trying to figure out what’s going on. And she’s like, ‘Oh, by the way, here you can have this too.’ And it was a pregnancy test.”
CoJo told Alan that his daughters were thrilled at the news that they were going to have a little brother.

“They keep calling it our baby. ‘Well when our baby gets here, when our baby we are.’ And I’m like, ‘This is not a we, y’all are still kids.’ But then it hit me. I’ve built in babysitters. Clara’s 10, Cori’s eight. So like, this boy is screwed,” Cody joked.
Cody and Brandi, who have been married since 2008, are excited to raise their son on a working cattle ranch. “The fact that he’s gonna be born on … a cattle ranch, that’s gonna be cool, man. He’s gonna be the little, I promise you, the little buckaroo riding around with six shooters on.”
Congratulations to Cody and Brandi on their precious new addition!
