One of the night’s highest honors has to be the award for CMT Performance of the Year which encapsulates all of the performances that have aired on the network during the eligibility period – often these are performances from the CMT Crossroads series, or even from special events the network has held throughout the year.

This year, there are six separate performances nominated for this award and all of them deserve to be recognized in their own way simply because of how great they were!
