Chuck Norris Dies At The Age Of 86
On Thursday, March 19, legendary actor and martial artist Chuck Norris passed away.
Just one day earlier, reports had surfaced that he was hospitalized in Hawaii for an unknown medical emergency.
At this time, Norris’ family has kept the cause of his hospitalization and death private. They did, however, share a statement on social media honoring his legacy as an entertainment icon and loving husband and father. A portion of the post read:
“To the world, he was a martial artist, actor, and a symbol of strength. To us, he was a devoted husband, a loving father and grandfather, an incredible brother, and the heart of our family. He lived his life with faith, purpose, and an unwavering commitment to the people he loved. Through his work, discipline, and kindness, he inspired millions around the world and left a lasting impact on so many lives.”
Along with the joint statement, some of Norris’ closest family members shared their own tributes.
His 24-year-old daughter, Danilee, took to Instagram the day after her father’s passing to reflect on their close bond. She remembered him as her “protector,” and said she will always cherish the “tenderness” he showed to the people he loved.
Danilee’s twin brother, Dakota, also paid tribute to their father, sharing a carousel of black-and-white photos capturing moments between him and Norris over the years.
“You’ve been the man I looked up to my whole life,” he wrote in the post’s caption. “Your generosity, your kindness, your courage, your integrity, your strength, your discipline, and your faith in the Lord were just a handful of things I always admired about you.”

Chuck Norris’ Granddaughter Remembers Her “Papa” In Emotional Tribute
Chuck Norris’ granddaughter, Greta, took to her social media to share a heartfelt tribute following his passing. She is one of his 13 grandchildren and often posts about how close they are.
Greta shared a series of photos with her grandfather. The images range from moments when she was a toddler to more recent memories they created together.
“You all knew Chuck norris as the man that counted to infinity twice, the man who got bit by a cobra and the cobra died. He was the man that would not do a push up but would push the earth down. Chuck norris was known for many amazing things but what I am most proud of is I got to know him as my Papa,” she wrote in the lengthy caption.
Greta continued, “I knew him as the old man that would come to grandparents days at school, my soccer games and cheer me on as proud as he could be. A grandfather that would sit on his rocking chair and listen to me tell him stories and would sit with me watching his movies and reminiscing on all of his life’s achievements with a huge smile on his face. He would play dress up with me and loved to joke around and had a laugh and smile that could bring you out of sadness.“
She went on to say that one of Norris’ greatest qualities was how down-to-earth he was. She added that anyone who met him walked away feeling like a friend.
“Papa is one of the most special people in my life and I am forever grateful and proud that I am his granddaughter. Papa I love you so much thank you for everything. The world truly lost an icon and I lost my grandpa. Now tell grandma I said hi. I love you forever papa,” the post concluded.
