The Artist Says “Something Has Shifted” Following Killing Of Charlie Kirk, Calls For Fans To Follow Jesus
“‘If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.’” – John 15:19
Back in May, Forrest Frank was one of two Christian artists to enter the Billboard Hot 100 at the same time, which was the first time this had happened in 11 years.
For Forrest, the song in question was “Your Way’s Better,” which has gone on to have a viral dance which accompanies the tune, helping the song peak at No. 61 on the Hot 100.
Notably, his song “Lemonade” also entered the Hot 100 in August.
Following the killing of the influential conservative Charlie Kirk, who was shot on September 10 while addressing students at Utah Valley University, Forrest shared a video of himself reacting to a video of Charlie speaking on “an undoubtable surge” of interest in Christianity among Americans.
As a result of Forrest sharing this video on September 11, the artist says he has lost nearly 30,000 social media followers.

Forrest Frank Shares His Reaction To Video Of Charlie Kirk
“There is an undoubtable surge happening of Christian interest in this country,” Charlie said at an event earlier in 2025. “Some of the most popular music for Gen Z is Christian music.”
From there, Charlie mentions Forrest, saying, “Forrest Frank is incredibly popular and growing in popularity. Even if you listen to Forrest Frank’s lyrics, they’re actually pretty Biblically good.”
Mentioning the truth of the Bible and one’s need for Jesus was a significant part of Charlie’s work, with the late Turning Point USA founder routinely speaking on the Gospel.
At this point, Forrest can be seen having an emotional reaction to Charlie’s words.
The clip of Charlie ends with him stating, “There’s something happening right now, and it’s a revival that is surprising a lot of the experts.”
Then, Forrest says:
“Pretty much every one of us, if not every one of us, yesterday and today, are just feeling this heaviness, and I think if I can summarize it, whether you know it or not, it is an angst for the return of Jesus — for the return of justice.”
Continuing, Forrest says, “Charlie was so bold with his message, and … I don’t feel comfortable using this platform to share music without stripping everything away, and, like Charlie did, speak my mind to the core.”
He then stated, “The reality is that Jesus Christ is the only way, and He’s coming back soon, and when He does, every single knee will bow and it’s time to repent and get your life right because we don’t know if today is our last day.”
Closing his eyes in prayer, Forrest said, “Lord, I just pray for a boldness in our nation. I pray a boldness over our youth to proclaim the good news that Jesus Christ can set you free right now.”
The artist then called for those who “need to know Jesus” to simply say, “Jesus, would you come into my life? Would you resurrect me? Make me a new person. I’m so sorry. I repent for the old ways that I’ve been. I want to be a new creation.”
Citing Romans 10:9, which reads, “If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved,” Forrest concluded his video.

Forrest Frank Loses 30,000 Followers After Video Of Charlie Kirk
Two days later, on September 13, Forrest shared an update, saying, “30,000 people unfollowed me because I posted about Charlie Kirk and I said that Jesus Christ is Lord.”
A graph is included in the video, showing a sharp drop of 27,390 followers since his September 11 video.
Of the drop, Forrest said, “Good.”
He then went on to say:
“I don’t want you to follow me, I don’t want you to track my music, I don’t want you to come to my shows, I don’t want you to do any of that if you don’t get this one thing: and that is follow Jesus Christ, the King of all Kings, the Lord of all Lords.”
Reiterating the need for repentance, Forrest said “today is the day” to follow Christ because “the hour is at hand.”
Closing out his video remarks, he said, “Jesus Christ is here and He loves you.”
In the caption, Forrest wrote, “i repent for ways i’ve allowed my platform to be a lukewarm highlight real. From here on out i’m using as much energy as i can to let people know about the only thing that matters.”
