Chris Stapleton is a Grammy-winning country artist and songwriter. He’s also a father of five, though despite his superstar status, little is known about his family life.
He previously told The Boot why he tries to keep his kids out of the spotlight:
“I signed up for this, my children did not,” he said. “I am a very private person, and in that respect, I keep my children out of it. They’re children, and they deserve the chance to be children.”

Chris Stapleton & Morgane Stapleton – A Love Shared On & Off The Stage
Chris Stapleton married Morgane Hayes in 2007. Morgane is a singer and songwriter herself, having written songs such as Carrie Underwood‘s “Don’t Forget to Remember Me” and Alan Jackson‘s “Talk Is Cheap.”
Morgane can often be seen by Chris’ side onstage. She accompanies him on tour, and performs background/harmony vocals.

Meet The Stapletons’ 5 Children – Starting With Their Two Eldest Kids
Chris and Morgane welcomed their first child, a son, in 2009. His name is sometimes reported to be Wayland, but other times it is reported to be Waylon.
While the Stapletons rarely share pictures of their kids on social media, Morgane did post a photo of her eldest son in 2016, though it does not show his face. Her caption read, “This sweet boy…happily occupying @meeschka’s spot under the umbrella at the beach.”

Then in 2010, Chris and Morgane welcomed their first and only daughter, Ada.
Like her older brother, Ada has rarely been photographed. But we have gotten the chance to see the two eldest Stapleton children at a few events in recent years. In 2019, they attended the Toy Story 4 premiere with their dad, since he recorded a song for the film.
Then in 2022, the two siblings accompanied their parents at the ACM Awards. Chris gave a shout-out to his kids during his speech, specifically recognizing his son, who just celebrated his 13th birthday.
Most recently, the eldest Stapleton children were seen supporting their father at the 2023 Super Bowl. Chris performed the National Anthem before the game.

Little Is Known About Chris & Morgane Stapleton’s Youngest Sons
Chris and Morgane welcomed twin sons in April 2018. Their names are often reported to be Macon and Samuel.
The twins’ birth was announced live by Reba McEntire during the 2018 ACM Awards. Morgane later shared a post that showed her snuggling her sons on her chest.
As far as we know, this is the only picture Morgane or Chris has ever shared of the twins.

The following year, Chris and Morgane welcomed their fifth and youngest child, another son. Morgane shared the news of his birth on Mother’s Day. She also posted a black-and-white photo of the infant, which is the only known picture of him.
Although the boy is now several years old, Chris and Morgane have not publicly revealed his name.

In a day and age when many people post every little detail about their lives online, the Stapletons strive to keep their family life to themselves. We do appreciate the few chances we’ve had to see their kids over the years…because they have a beautiful family!
